Detroit Lions Sign Defensive End Bruce Irvin to Their Practice Squad

The Detroit Lions signed veteran defensive end Bruce Irvin to their practice squad. Last season, Irvin played for the Seattle Seahawks.

Irvin was originally drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. During his career, Irvin has played for the Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and Chicago Bears. During that time, he has amassed 340 tackles, 54 sacks, 16 forced fumbles, and 3 interceptions. Though on the back end of his career at thirty-six years old, Irvin can provide depth to the Detroit Lions’ defense as they pursue a playoff run.
