The Seattle Seahawks drafted Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy II with the 16th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. Throughout the pre-draft process, draft analysts regarded Murphy as one of the top three defensive linemen in this year's draft class. He now brings his defensive talents to Seattle.

Last year, the Seahawks finished their season with a 9-8 record. Murphy was a staple on the Texas defensive line as he terrorized offensive lines all last season. He will now bolster the Seahawks' defensive line play going into the 2024 season.
