The Falcons shocked the football world by drafting Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. with the 8th overall pick amidst their recent signing of free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins. After selecting Michael Penix Jr., the Falcons decided to bolster their defensive line by drafting Clemson defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro, Washington edge Bralen Trice, Oregon defensive tackle Brandon Dorlus, and Georgia defensive tackle Zion Logue.
