The Seattle Kraken have hired Dan Bylsma as their new head coach. Bylsma was promoted to replace Dave Hakstol. Last season, the Kraken struggled and finished up with a 34-35-13 overall record.

Before being hired as the head coach of the Kraken, Bylsma had coaching stints with the New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Buffalo Sabres. Bylsma also used to play in the NHL for the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks. Bylsma will now look to turn around this middling franchise.
