The Minnesota Timberwolves re-signed head coach Chris Finch to a four-year contract extension. This past season, Finch led the Timberwolves to a 56-26 record bolstering a 0.683 winning percentage. The Timberwolves also finished the regular season with the third-best record in the competitive Western Conference. The Timberwolves' season ended when they were eliminated by the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the NBA playoffs.

Before becoming the Timberwolves' head coach, Finch was an assistant coach for the Nuggets, Houston Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans, and Toronto Raptors. It seems the Timberwolves clearly have confidence in Finch leading the franchise for years to come. The Timberwolves will enter the 2024 season looking to build on their improved success from this past season.
